When last did you record something on your PVR

Nah, the registered agents also have it listed at R999 (without installation) with the occasional discount. The previous Explora 2 is still listed at R2000 (with installation) and you don't need the new smart LNBs and so on.
Yes it was 2 Explora 2s with installation. Which worked out to over 4K for the 2 year payment plan and that's excluding the monthly sub. I told her that I could pickup two brand new Explorers for under 2K then she told me the Explorer they were offering retails for 2K. I did Google it and did see it retailing for that price.

About 2 years ago, just before the pos decoder packed up a few months after the warranty expired

CU (Catch Up) is too unreliable too often, so many of us do backup recordings. And over here we stockpile movies on PVR, so still very useful. Streaming's ok for some things we want, but downloading for that is preferred - Showmax should take note regarding the Explora.

Record some series, sport but mostly use it fo the 'pause' and rewind option when watching live sport (it's amazing how much you miss when your kids/spouse/etc just have to come and ask you something while you're watching :p

Almost every day. I actually mostly watch recordings instead of normal tv

Damn and you watch the entire 80/90 minutes after the game has played?
Yip but takes around 40 minutes cause all the stoppages in play get skipped. I literally cannot watch live sport anymore. If the balls not in play I fast forward. This is the only way I can watch 8 matches of rugby in a 24 hour period..

At the risk of much ridicule :D will now ask, when last did any of you use your... VCR (Video Cassette Recorder)? o_O

Me - most mornings, but just for visually backing up my Explora's recording schedules as MC screww it all up more and more.

Haha, I use my phones video camera to make a quick rec of my Explora recording schedules.
Does anybody know if you can use a Showmax 'voucher' via your DSTV Explora decoder (that is connected to the net)

Maybe - if you first set up on their website. Explora just wants your login details, nothing else can be done there.

Every other day, The Keiser Report, I like to record (and keep) them and watch when I feel like it. I also search the movie channels for movies I like and record those to watch when it suits me.
