When people smoke around me

Just piss in his face. If he asks what he's doing, just tell him the same way he likes smoking, you like drinking.

No ways China. Smokers will cuss you out big time even if you ask them nicely.

Think you're generalising just a bit there.

Smokers are like drinkers/drivers/rugby fans, individuals differ. I only know respectful smokers who won't smoke in my house or who go for a walk to smoke first

I got cussed at by a fellow employee when I mentioned that people were smoking illegally in the basement parking area. She just went off as if I attacked her. I just turned around and walked away.

I can still deal with people being disrespectful by blowing smoke around non-smokers. Sort of. What I really can't deal with is how many smokers are just litter-bugs. Like, they'll just throw their cigarette butt in the road and stomp it as if it's dead normal. That's littering. We've got smokers who moved in on the fourth floor and they just flick their butts off their balcony and into the parking lot after they're done and it really looks horrible to come out of your flat to find cigarette butts scattered everywhere.

Why do smokers not get that this is the exact same as eating your KFC and throwing the containers on the ground? It's not like there aren't bins all over the place. Just because it's small doesn't make it less unsightly.

All the smokers I know are "civilised" and they would be wary if their smoke would blow into people's faces and would offer to swop places. Smoking at a sports event (or worse at a school event) was always a big no. As an ex-smoker I used to respect non-smokers but would then expect the same level of respect in return (i.e. no double-dipping or picking your nose before digging through finger food).

I honestly rather have a smoke blowing into my face than having to sit at a table with someone who has zero table-manners.

Of course I am generalising, but I have not yet come across a smoker who responded well to my polite request for them to smoke elsewhere.
Some of them stopped smoking but not without mumbled insults.
