Hi chaps,

So according to VW a cambelt has to be changed @ 90 000km. Do I still wait for 90 000 (I'm on 77 000) or do I have to change now - bearing in mind my Polo is six years old?

Thank you in advance :)

It wont hurt to change it now, but considering you are probably going to have it serviced at 90 000km any way you can do it then... will probably cost extra on top of the service so budget for it.

You might want to change it now, had a car which was on km interval or 3 years for cambelt. VW should know this and be able to tell you the year interval too.

3 years for a cambelt sounds a bit short. Not disagreeing, just commenting.

Change it, 6 years is a bit long and tell them during the 90000 km service it has already been changed so they wont do it again.
