When will the Nokia N82 be available in SA

jk8 is just teazing I can also call the bluff, only out on cash, not on contract, plz stop teazing we know it is out, new contracts however are not updated middle of month

Correction, it's not on the upgrade schedule, but vodacom has it on their deal calculators, and has the phone in stock.

Got mine today, and it's a stunning little thing - still getting to grips with everything it does, but so far I am very impressed!!
 
I Believe it is the best phone Nokia has ever made, with N95 taking second place and Nokia 6110 Navigator taking the 3rd place. I you have the cash, that is most well balanced techie mobile thing you can carry around with you. If you have the cash. I believe it will not really be for free on any contract. You might pay in ... say R799 on Talk500 or ProCall500 I assume. We'll see by next month. At the moment Vodacom is madly pushing the N81 into the market, which is not such a good phone if you look it has only 2MP camera and no HSDPA, no GPS, but sacrifices these features for the best N-Gage playabillity on the market.

What? I never said its only out on cash, I just gave the price... Its worth something regardless of contract or prepaid.:rolleyes: And no I dont have one yet coz the one I choose just happens to not have a damn memory card WTF!!! Maybe tomorow.
 
Can ppl please post links to contracts on MTN or Voda or give me an idea what a contract would be like in time to come or current contracts for the N82. thanx

No links, but I can tell you that it took a pay-in of about R1840 on voda business call
 
Cannot believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hated the K850 keys.... this thing is unbelievably small!!
This is funny.
bad design... they hardly even stick out:eek:

IMO theres quite a gap between the screen and the D-pad, make that smaller and the buttons bigger...

They copied SE on this but stuffed it up!!

I played with the N82 yesterday, and I also thought that the keys were very, very small, and offer almost no feedback when pressed.

I'm in two minds about getting the N82 - don't think that it offers much improvement over the N95. What is the next model that Nokia will release?

Its not impossible to use... Ill see by the end of the weekend how it goes....

I've found that the buttons seem more awkward than they actually are - IOW, if you try pressing them with your fingernails, it's a mission, but when you just push them with your whole fingertip, they actually work quite well.

Also, the D-pad/center key looks a lot worse than it is - it hasn't given me any problems so far!
 
Haha - my fingers are far too boerewors like for that - if I tried to push the buttons with my fingertime I'd push at least 3...

My Dpad is strange, if I press in one direction the other part lifts up quite high like its gonna break.

The buttons are ok, you make a few mistakes here and there.

The thing is I have "meat" at the tips of my thumbs so its soft and by the time the bone gets down my thumb is covering another button... Lol

But its ok... I think
