When your contract expires, does your account get disconnected?

Morning All,

So my contract is up for renewal and I am holding out for the new HTC phone and I can't seem to make calls, use the USSD code to check my balance and my data is not working either. So the question is, does Vodacom cancel your contract once it is up?

Many Thanks :).

No it switches to month to month, unless you phone on the first day of the month of expiry to say cancel it. Which it then switches to prepaid.

No you go on a month by month basis on the same contract unless you cancel or go prepaid

Strange then that I can't dial out or do anything with it. Is there a Vodacom rep on this forum? No twitter allowed at work :/.

Thanks for the reply :).

Ah right, thank you :).

But, sometimes, someone just decides they don't like you and they'll just disconnect your line.

This happened to me in the evening of a night that I was going out with friends and it ruined my plans somewhat. I had to call them the next day. All they said was "sorry, we thought your account wasn't paid up" although it is paid via debit order and the debit order had gone through for that month.

So, just call them and rectify it with them.

Was it someone you recommended Windows Phone to? :p

It just may have been - lol.

No, I'm thinking perhaps it was their system that wasn't working properly like with Vodacom right now.

But, even if it was the recommendation @kingrob, that wouldn't deter me from recommending it to the same person.

I'm going onto my third WP in a year now. I guess its an acquired taste.
