Where can I find a DC UPS plug adapter like this?

I have a client that bought a Gizzu DC UPS for their fibre connection.

However, the fibre box does not have a standard DC port. I believe it’s a Mini Din 9 pin B Type (note the row of 3 pins is not evenly spaced).

I could chop off the end of the AC Adapter and solder on a female 5.5mm socket, but I don’t want to risk it in case something goes wrong.

Although, the pictures aren’t entirely clear it will be compatible. Also, it will cost nearly R500 to just order a sample!

Where can I get an adapter that can plug into this ONT and connect to the 5.5mm cable that comes with the UPS?

Probably easier to open the box, remove that horrible socket and connect some wires directly to the inside of the thing - that is if only 2 connections are needed (0V and 12V).

If it was my own device then I would consider doing something like that - I can assume the risk and consequences if something goes wrong. But because it's a client's set up, I'd prefer to use an adapter or a converter of sorts.
Also, they are planning on moving next year, so all "hard changes" will have to be undone again.

Maybe see if you can modify an old PS2 keyboard/mouse plug/adapter? Looks as if it could be the same size except for the blank key in the middle. Some old laptops had these plugs for video inputs.

I am sure I saw that long time ago on an old laptop. a repair shop might have an old one lying around.

Rather ask the FNO to swap out the ONT.

It's called a mini DIN 9 pin connector. You would have to make the cable yourself. RS sells it.

I think I have one somewhere. Will have a look. It was on a power brick for a laptop.
