Where can I find a quality Cooler Box

I'm looking for a large cooler box, but not the normal Coleman plastic stuff.
In the region of 45l - 60l capacity.
The normal ones just don't keep your stuff cold for longer than a day or so and usually breaks at the hinges or if someone drops it.

Outdoor warehouse seems to have a good one with a gasket for proper sealing, but at a ridiculous price.

Any ideas ?

opening the box every couple of hours will cause anything to lose its cold. - even the most expensive boxes.

Best(and cheapest) is to buy dry ice, and close a cheap cooler box with packaging tape, will keep cold for ages!

Very true that opening and closing it will cause cold loss, but overnight when its not being opened a quality cooler will do its job. As well as build quality that I'm interested in.

Thought about the dry ice, just wondering how much a block will cost me ? And it will probably have to be delivered, unless someone knows of a walk-in shop I can get some ?

Try Mia's in Woodmead. They've got some pretty good quality stuff and their prices are not bad for what you get.
I don't think I've ever come across a cooler box that works better than one of their fiberglass bait boxes

Also try online Safari Chillers are pretty common with most fishing tackle retailers
...but if you really want a machine get hold of Amficraft down in PE and see if you can get one of their boxes shipped up to Jozi.

I have had a 64l plastic Coleman for about 20 years. It's been over a big chunk of Africa and still works and seals wonderfully well. The hinges haven't broken either. Only damage to it is one corner where a baboon took a bite out of it (fixed with Pratley's putty). With dry ice, minimal opening and keeping it in the shade, items stay frozen solid for five days. Having said that, I have no idea what the current Coleman kit is like. The el-cheapo look-alikes are real rubbish though - dry ice evaporates within a day.

Coleman also made a steel jacketed cooler box, but I haven't seen those on sale for years.
