Where can I get a VCR?

I have some old tapes with some stuff on that I want to move to my PC, don't have a VCR though and places don't really sell them anymore?

Anybody know where I can get one? I was looking on Gumtree but I'm really not going to pay more than R150 - R200 for a second hand unit and I refuse to buy a Sansui model. Anybody have one in Cape Town they want to flog?

I believe Incredible Connections sells a nice vcr conversion kit that plugs right into your pc.

It is a bit expensive though.

Got a unused 6-head hi-fi stereo JVC lying in a cupboard somewhere. Sold another JVC last year for R500. Crazy what people will pay for these things.

Hehe no they aren't, I just like having full control over proceedings. I already have a capture card so just need the VCR.

And it's cheaper to do it yourself (if you have a VCR! ). It just takes a bit of time to capture it to your hdd....
