Hi,

Having a hard time finding stock of the IPtime HV0102A multimedia player.

Techdigital has stock but only of the B1 version which does not support SATA drives.

Has anyone managed to use one of these with a 500GB SATA2 drive successfully?

second hand would be fine.

regards.

You can try computersonly, I bought my HV0103 (with lan port) from them last Nov.

Just some friendly advice. Stay away from Techdigital if you need any kind of service with your purchase! They are absolutely USELESS! I buy allot of stuff on the net and they are by far my worst experience so far.

Thanks for the advice, always good to learn from others mistakes.

Will stay far far away from them

Howzit Soulman,

I'm out of stock atm - but ETA is beginning March.

This is the one you're looking for:

playTIME HV-0102 3.5" IDE/SATA MULTIMEDIA PLAYER , WATCH MOVIES ON TV , DIGITAL MUSIC JUKEBOX , JPEG IMAGE VIEWER FOR TV , PORTABLE 3.5" HARDDRIVE STORAGE , S-VIDEO & COMPOSITE OUTPUT , REMOTE CONTROL , EASY FIRMWIRE UPGRADING

I was selling them for R650 ex VAT, but price could change when new stock comes in.

Will keep you informed if you're still interested?

Best regards,

Jaryd Raizon

Thanks Raizon, much appreciated:)

Pls send me a PM once you receive stock.

I see it supports SATA but does it support the Seagate SATA2 500GB drive with 32mb cache?

HELP - IPTIME QS120 Multimedia Player

I purchased a IPTIME QS120 Multimedia Player on the 4th April 2009. I inserted a 80GB IDE HDD and I can access the drive if I connect it with the USB cable to my PC.
On the LCD display it shows “Searching HDD” and nothing happens. I don’t get any visuals on my TV either.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

As far as I know, if a device supports SATA, then a SATA2 drive will work in it (same connection etc). My TViX supports SATA drives, but accepts my WD SATA2 1TB 32MB ... though transfer is limited to 1.5GB/sec
