I want to buy the OnePlus 5T this month and wondered how you guys got yours.
I won't pay R11k for the normal 5 on FNB.

I registered for an Aramex account and can buy in the UK, Germany and US.

Plug types for Germany are the same as in South Africa.

Have you ever used Aramex for global shopping?

The total cost of the device + cover and screen protector and headphones will be around R9300 without shipping.

Is it worth it?

Shipping for 2KG parcels are R500 and I bet its much less than that, so it will be way cheaper to buy overseas. And I do not trust the gearbest site that much.

Gearbest and geekbuying are reliable. Pay using PayPal and you get buyer protection.
You'll get charged duties once it arrives in South Africa... When using Aramex it's quite high.

Always worth it order overseas for better prices, at the expense of security.
Can you handle the risk of having a R10k phone break, pack in or stolen without a backup?

Gearbest now uses Aramex for priority deliveries. These are quick if the SARS guys don't decide that its KFC for lunch that day.

R7023 + R165 shipping

When I used Aramexglobalshopper.com to ship a 1000 USD laptop from the US, I paid ca. R3000 for shipping and duties.

Order from Oneplus's Hong Kong store, almost R1000 cheaper. Use freight forwarding service.

Profit.

Can you give us some more details on how to use Freight Forwarding? In order to checkout on the OnePlus website you need to insert a Honk Kong address
