Guys I'm looking for one of those 6m shipping containers for storage. Most ads i see are scams though.
The only legit looking quote i got was for R46k which seem a tad expensive.

There are tons of scams around, we were also looking into buying for work and still looking.
You will also need to factor in transportation
We got a quote many years ago for R11k just to transport it 200km

The prices of containers have rocketed because of massive shortages.
Where are you based?
Our company buys containers and we have a very reliable supplier we use.
There are also different grades of containers.

I looked into a container 2 years ago and transport is expensive regardless of the grade.

The current shortage has only been made worse by people thinking they can use them as accommodation units, which they are not suitable for.

What do you want to use it for? There might be an alternative.

For household storage put up a wendy. R10k and it looks a lot better than a container.

Reefer containers have the insulation if you need it, bit more expensive

I can give you a number of a lady I know who sells them. I spoke to her a while and she mentioned to be very careful of scammers in this industry lately.

Another thing to keep in mind, containers are movable structures, so its nice not to bother with the building plans if you follow rules.

That said, how often the building inspector checks if wendy houses are on the plans is another story.
