where in thee hell...

Originally my character names were random or based on actual names of friends/places/authors and modified.

As people came to know me and my characters more I was given a nick name, when I finally started playing again now I took this nickname and made it a bit more bloodelvish and that's what I currently use.

Unless I have a specific name in mind which is tied to how I want to play the char I random a few times and then make something up.

The punchline of a private joke between some friends. Now it is the best name ever.

Druid: I wanted to play a bear tank and call him Bear. That was taken ... so I just chose another of the big five instead.

DK: I was watching Larry the Cable guy when I created him. Now I kinda regret his name :o

In general, I use afrikaans words / names eg. a hunter named Kopskoot

I created an Orc Shammy for resto purposes named Manto (Striking resemblance I must say).

Other than that, whatever comes to mind.

Wikisnoob - Paladin, after what someone said whilst frothing in a GW battleground about the wikisnoob builds
Piffany - Priest, read Nodwick, all hail the mighty duct tape cleric
Tehelfses - Hunter, no idea just came up with it
Wílbërfôrcë - DK, I needed a suitably epic name ;)
Svartsnot - Troll Shaman, was listening to Svartsot, a troll metal band when I rolled him, was pretty fitting :P

named my main Razeal after the char in the game Soulreaver. the spelling of that guys name is acually Raziel. but i like my chars name better

I use a english to latin online convertor and just use the latin version of the class or race:

Eg. Hunter - Pumilus / Dwarve - Dvergar etc..

My mains name is Agerbon, which is my surname the other way around. (Nobrega) I use variations of Agerbon for most of of my aliases, both in WoW and other games. I use it in many forums too.

This guy in my guild just use all the classes names, but the first letter of the name he replaces with a "x". eg xunter, xruid, xriest, xage, xarlock etc etc.

I have a guildie that does the same kind of thing. He left the classes name unchanged and just added zero to it. eg roguezero, hunterzero, etc etc.

Lyerpald - My girlfriend chose the name, was the condition of me being able to play wow :S
Fearlox - I dig it, spark of genious.
Deathrune - lame-o DK name, never thought i wud level him so i regret it now.
Pallyprince - tought it might be nice for a twink.

Istmus: I misspelt Isthmus (geography term) and then I realised that it made me pretty much unique so I stuck with it.

Frostbitten: Frost mage

Dingaan: Historical reference

Beocow: Tauren Warrior reference to Beowolf

Garotte: Rogue reference to assassination weapon

Exorcise: Pally.... holy warrior.... you do the maths

You forgot Meegs
Minkie was renamed to Meegs when I gave her to my wife for her birthday last year. I took her back a month or two ago as she was stagnating, my wife discovered DKness.

Going to rename her back to Minkie soon.
