I'm waiting for pricing almost a week now... or is everyone in holiday mode already?

He is out of the office until Friday

Guys, I spoke with him an hour ago. WBS has got this guy doing all sorts of things. Not only is he the Ops Manager, refunding clients and trying to pacify them for tech stuff that is out of his control, but now they have told him to go away and write the manual for the Call Center! He will be back in the office Friday morning I believe.

I spent some time in his office last week, and I must be honest I don't know how he deals with all the stress.Believe me carrying 2 cell phones that are always ringing 18 hours per day, and still answering them with a smile seems stressful enough to me. This guy is working some wicked hours, but he can only give you answers and info when he has it.

I desperately want Iburst to be successful as I detest Telskum tactics. I hope they can get it right. I have not had any access through Iburst for 4 weeks now! And I am just as pissed as you guys. Hang in there....

i'm not pissed off as long as i get a little notification about when the caps coming, know-tee-fer-kay-shun, thats all i need

Two months ago i asked the question, how much staff do iBurst have, and the answer was so scarey.
WBS just need to employ more people.
Firstly, its not healthy for those who are there
Secondly, they dont get things done on time

Shaun, we feel for you, but dont try to be superman

Yea, thing is, he promised friday, then wednesday, now I hear he's out of the office and won't post anything at all?

no no no no no

noone, looking for a final reason to switch to dsl? If so, me too and it can't happen soon enough.
If this firmware update does not solve the disconnecitons and slow speed, I'm jumping ship in 13 days and counting...

Can get better speed, little bit better cap and better stability on homedsl 192,
then there is always the possibility of switching to uunet uncapped if it becomes more afordable...

192? ugh. 192 isn't even real broadband but good luck with that whole thing

Noone, spoke with Shaun last night. He is waiting for permission from the Top Brass to release the prices. He will not make the same mistake twice, but I feel we will hear from him soon...

thats fine and dandy and all that crap, it's the 17th of March, the 1st of April they go live. I still have no idea what to budget for, and they have promised a 2 week (14 days) notice before any cap will be imposed/tested.

14+17 = 31

Meaning they will probably (again) not deliver on a promise. I have a feeling that not only will we hear about all this too late, but we will probably suffer some serious problems when they go live and everyone's cap is screwing around very nicely. If they shape ports AND have a cap i'll blow my ****ing load

so much for having a soft launch when they couldn't even sort this out before they went live.

BucK, people are moving up you still want to go to 192,
But anyway good luck

Compared to the 8 - 9 KB/s I'm getting now, 192 will be Broadband!

Then there is the constant pings compared to the from 100ms - 2000ms with 10% - 20% packet loss I'm getting now. And that is to iburst.co.za!

I want this to work, I really do, but things are looking very grim at the moment. In 14 days I'll be paying R 600 a month for this?

guys, calm down, he can't tell us till he is allowed to, its not his fault
