I have noticed over the last few months that more and
more .coza domains are being hosted outside of South Africa.

The main reasons must be cost & bandwidth availability.

We are doing something seriously wrong here - perhaps the
"owner" of the data network is to blame.

Local is not so lekker - it is fricken expensive and fricken slow.

Well it makes sense when one can get 80Gb of space hosted on your own dedicated machine (Linux / MS) with 500 Gb of data transfer per month on a 5 Mbps access port - for only $80 per month.

for $20 you can get a dedicated FreeBSD jail, 6gb of space and 40gb of transfer and 2 static IP's. "5 Mbps access port" hahah, alot of the .us and .uk hosting co's are on 100Mbps, and 1Gbps links to ISP's.

Hmmm, lets see what R180 gets u here, maybe 100mb and 1gb transfer and 5 pop accounts. *whoopy twang*

Ya.. wish Telkom would someday give us some 21st centuary technology.
