Hey guys,

I need to buy a substantial amount of hardware for an office I'm setting up in the northern province.

I'd like to go with name brand desktops, hp or something similar.

Where would be the best place for me to buy such hardware? I need a place that I could fax/email what I'd like, and then for them to fax/email me back a quote.

Thanks in advance.

Contact HP directly if the amount of equipment is high. Might want to look at Dell and IBM as well.

Getting a quote from them might be worth it.

If you want to save money, look at Mecer or Acer. Can't really comment on them though.

If you want to go for Dell jst call 0117097700 and speak to their sales team.

They do taike 4 to 6 weeks for delivery as everything is bilt to order and shipped from Ireland.

dude do not buy hp names brands

you are being ripped off big time

buy from a computer store who will put a much better pc together at a much better price

yeah, I'm not a big fan of hp anymore.
They used to be good but I think they got to that stage where their name was well known and popular enough to stop worrying about service and quality.
ie. it's an hp, everyone knows them they must be good.

Don't buy name brands rather contact guys like prophecy, digitalSAonline or the dealers at systemshock and pcbuyersguide.

They will put a pc together for you and get you the best prices they can. They will also not dump some useless software you never use onto the machine.

The guy I'm working with on this project insists on using name brand machines (it's a government tender) so maybe there are some kind of rules. Anyway, I got a quote from HP, Dell sales department is useless, no one answers the phone and incredible connection will mail me a quote tomorrow.

So hopefully I'll be sorted. Let me know if you guys have any other ideas...
