Hey all

Recently purchased a brand new Dixon 32" TV from Cash Crusaders, and an Ellies Amplified antenna, to replace the older decaying TV, and antenna here, due to aerial on the roof being stuffed up. by years of neglect, and wind. Since I am located in Lansdowne, the nearest transmitter to me within sight is The Constantiaberg, so I point the Antenna there, tune all in, and the picture across all VHF channels (1, and 2), looks like total shyte, where as the UHF channels, SABC3, and E.tv come in crystal clear, if I rotate the antenna to the correct polarity, and turn the antenna round, and point it directly at direction of the Constantiaberg transmitter, the amplification is turned up for all this. I can also see the channels from the Tygerberg transmitter, but they are far more snowy, and I'm putting it down to being far away from the transmitter, and I'd assume that transmitter isn't used for this side anyway.

I've decided to look into getting a Cheap DVB-T2 box, which should remove all snowy pictures, and give me a crystal clear picture, until they install an antenna on the roof. Just wondering, anybody know where they are stocked, I went to Chinatown today in Ottery, and I couldn't find anything, also looked at a few other places here, and there. Also nothing.

Anybody here know where to find them?
Thanks

Considering the fact, I'm holding onto my money till I get a job, it is.

I paid R270 for this antenna, and it was one of the best ones on the shelf at Game, and it's not doing what it's intended to do.

Sorted....

I ordered a generic DVB-T2 Decoder from Aliexpress, for under $30USD.
I just hope that customs aren't geared to intercept (or steal) items like this.

Just need to wait for it to arrive.
