Our lab bought a microscope from them. Works really well We got one with a digital camera, so you can take photos via your PC.

Maybe ask university lab or school where they source theirs. Others are toys.

Should be around R8000+. I'd much rather buy a Nikon than any other brand in existence...

Oh and what do you want to use it for? Do you have training with microscopes e.g. how to do oil immersion if you use the 100x objective?

Also depends on what type of microscope you want to buy: Compound, dissection/stereo etc.

If you're not going to use it professionally I would recommend getting a cheap one like that LCD Deluxe Digital Microscope at thegadgetshop.co.za otherwise look at getting a Leica/Zeiss/Nikon.

The problem with that is "Dispatched in 17 to 29 working days" Then Shipping and customs issues too. It's better to just buy local and have it immediately.
