Where to buy apps?

For whatever retarded reason the Android market only supplies free software to South Africa! Don't Google don't want our money??!

Is there anywhere that we can browse and legitimately pay for commercial Android apps?

Use MarketEnabler, fake another country, first one on the list works for me. Buy away... You need a google checkout account which is easily setup as well.

Precondition to use this tool is
- Rooted phone

And that's the problem. Once you root your android phone or jailbreak your iphone (so I've been told) - it becomes possible to buy from anywhere. Meanwhile, we have to be happy with the free stuff, or find ways of making the paid stuff, free.

Some developers will sell through their own website too.

Or you can be a dirty little pirate and download apk's from the web until the damn store is fully functional in south africa.

For certain apps I have done this. Weirdly enough I have felt quite guilty about this though.

Google need to hurry up and show south africa some love.
