Where to Buy Delphi 2007?

Hi, does anyone know where I can buy Delphi 2007 Professional for Win32 in a store in Northern/Southern Suburbs Cape Town? I don't want to buy online.

Are you still looking for Delph 2007i? I know a guy who works at Borland S.A., maybe he can give us some information as I'm also trying to get our company to buy Delphi 2007/2009.

Don't buy for the next week or so. Embarcadero (CodeGear) is readying a new release Delphi 2009 which is due out any day now.

Ok, I just got a call from Borland S.A., here are the prices:

Delphi 2009 Upgrade = $374 (i.e if you already have a licensed version of any previous version of Delphi)
Delphi 2009 New Lincense = $874

RAD Studio 2009 Upgrade = $474
RAD Studio 2009 New License = $1074

Currently you can only download RAD Studio 2009 and Delphi 2009 as they haven't received the actual distributed packages yet. You are therefore effectively just purchasing a license and then need to download the DVD iso from their website. (yeah, ouch)

RAD Studio includes:
* Includes Delphi, Delphi for .NET and C++Builder
* Build AJAX powered websites with ASP.NET 2.0 and VCL for the Web
* Blackfish SQL - the managed SQL database with support for Delphi language stored procedures and triggers
* Delphi for .NET language support for parameterized types

PS: I guess you guys also need to start looking at Vista support? We will be upgrading from Delphi 7 which has served us well since 2004.

There is a lot of good stuff in Delphi 2009. While I would like to have seen a 64 bit compiler, things like Win32 Generics and Unicode are great.

A few months ago we purchased Delphi 2007 Enterprise (1’811.35 CHF)

We had no time yet to finished our first application with Delphi 2007 and now Delphi 2009appears…
Do you think we still have to pay to upgrade to Delphi 2009?

That depends if you bought software assurance with the Delphi. If you got SA, then the upgrade will be free, otherwise, you will need to pay. You can ask here:
