I have shot and eaten a few warthog , the trick is to shoot a young one if it is to old it gets gamey .
I have put them on a spit a few times and they are realy great to eat tastes like a pork/beef mix no fat ,you have to add bacon when you cook the meat because not much fat on it at all .
Only meat better is wild pig from the sugar cane fields in Natal .
