Where to get APC Battery Replacement?

I have bought equivalent batteries at my local battery centre. Works like a charm. The pricing is similar and it is very convenient. Just check the age and charge state of the battery before you leave the shop.

I doubt they would fit into the unit. I don't want to have external units.
 
I looked for RBC7 units for my SUA1500, and was looking at around R2200 for the cheapest, actually imported from the US. After I placed my order, it turned out that they were simply providing the batteries, without the connectors, fuses, etc.

I eventually went to PSS.co.za, got the same capacity batteries that I had in my UPS, transferred the connectors and fuses from the originals to the new batteries, and was back in business for less than R700.

Sealed Lead acid batteries are standard sizes, for the voltage and capacity (amp hours), so there's not likely to be a case where the batteries have to sit outside the UPS itself.
