Flame, i think you are confusing a burner max drive with a 0800 v3.0 drive. the one reads the GD3 discs, the other one burns them. takealot has the liteon drives for burner max fw but not 0800 drives.

hey guys, stupid question...do i need this drive for ALL xgd3 games or only some?
and more specific , will batman AC work without using this drive?

most of them will work without this drive even though you get the error, but if you want to play games online then this drive is a must have as there are no errors and make it totally retail

We're not getting it locally but rather import it. We're also running a business and hardly making a big profit margin

what you mean still cannot backup batman AC ?? firstly the drive doesnt do "backups". If you mean burning the games then only verbs will work for now, make sure you follow the steps, other media is working but with a few tweaks and others fail verification tests

will i be able to burn an xbox game with LightScribe?
I read somewhere that LightScribe actually take space on the DVD'S (as a few MB'S) and xbox games use the whole space on the disc.

I meant that i can't burn an ISO file.
so, far i wasted 3 DVD's on batman and 1 on another game...all of them failed verification on 49% and none of them work.
Does it work on a none Verbatim disc,i did follow all the instructions.
anyway, i am out of DVD'S and gonna buy a Verbatim pack.
I have always used Ritek DL's for all 360 games without problem. When XGD3's showed up, they wouldn't burn and failed at 49%.
I bought a 25 spindle of Verbatim's MKM003's and haven't had a single issue with any of the new XGD3's and the iHas524 from Takealot.
If you don't mind me asking...how much did you pay for 25 Verbatim's .
