I managed to crack the side mirror of my Nissan Almera :(

Where can I get a replacement from?

Ok PG doesnt do car mirror replacements. Nissan says its R560, which I think its a little excessive I think. Does anyone know any good scrap yards?

Elfreako - car mirrors are not simply equal to a bit of PG Glass offcut. They are convex and specific to any given car.

Scrapyard or agents, unfortunately.

there is a couple of them around, check the back pages of the car, speed and sound etc magazines...or (although a bit far from randburg), SUMP or ACE scrapyards in springs (the 2 biggest in the country)

That's cheap.
Mirror glass for my car was R4500 from the dealer.

9 years will make prices go up, maybe not almost 10 times but still ;-). Remember to check the dates

< 8, considering how long ago I had to replace my mirror ;)

Any contact in JHB? My dad cracked the glass on his Hyundai Elantra 2012 model...Hyundai has quoted R1100 for new glass and fitting...

What Sinbad said. At least Nissan allows you to just buy the mirror for most models instead of only selling complete units. Paid a similar price for a Micra Mirror, also managed to find a pirate part (complete unit) for just over R700
