Where to purchase E-Cigarettes in Durban?

So I've decided to give up my habit and take the plunge and buy one of the better E-Cigarettes.
However I'm having a hard time finding a physical store where I can purchase one. Looking particularly at the Twisp/Janty Ego Tank version, as from online reviews seems to be one of the best.

So two questions.

1) Is there a better E-Cigarette than the Twisp Ego T?

2) Where can I purchase a Twisp Ego-T in Durban?

Thanks for any help.

Forget E-Cigarettes, ask your doctor for Champix

Forget E-Cigarettes, ask your doctor for Champix, a new drug that blocks the nicotine receptors so you get no pleasure from smoking.

It has a reported 75% success rate but also some mild side effects :wtf: so do your homework and do consult your doctor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varenicline

Have researched this, but not happy with the side effects. Plus smoking has become quite habitual after a drink and a meal, so for now not looking to quit but just looking for a less harmful substitute, maybe will look at Champix when I'm completely off analogue cigarettes.

Don't buy anything branded Twisp or Janty, you are just paying extra for the branding.
Tanks are still quite popular, the latest version is the ego-c.
It's better to buy online, there are good South African online stores eg. http://www.eciggies.co.za/, once you know what you like you can order in bulk from China, where they are all manufactured.
Have a look at this forum for unbiased reviews: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

Saw a "Twisp" stand at Gateway the other day, one of those little "carts"

I have the Twisp, I havnt smoked a cig for 3 months.I will be replacing the liquid with a no nicotene replacement, holding thumbs, but at last i can breath and taste food again!
Agreed, the habit is difficult to get out of, thats why i opted for a safer replacement and not tablets or patches.

Imo, don't look for a specific brand. Go to a tobacco shop if you must buy it from a shop, otherwise there's many options online with delivery/collection.

I have been on an e-cig for a little over a month, not a single craving for normal cigs. Feel better too.

I bought mine from Vape Africa, in Cape Town. http://www.vapeafrica.co.za/

They do deliveries too - I assume nationwide... Give them a call and hear what they say, Shané or Adrian usually help me.

Twisp is all good an well, but they are so expensive. Got my whole kit plus about a month worth of fluid for about R500-550. Excluding shipping obviously, since I live close enough to get it myself.

I also went the e-cig way and now I only smoke real cigarettes when at the pub, which is around twice a month.

Doesnt it make the real cig taste way worse? I cant take one puff of a real cig anymore and i wanna hurl.

I use the e-cig from Spar, doesn't really change the taste of a real smoke.

Thank goodness I don't smoke at all.

I am sure you can purchase e-cigar at any Tobacco outlet.

Wow just came across this thread about 2 years later by chance.

Ended up buying my Twisp Clearo in April this year and haven't craved a cigarette since, I have smoked an analogue once when having a drink with a mate, but actually felt a little ill after.

Although initially pricey, you start seeing the savings when you calculate how much you're not spending on cigarettes. Besides the liquid which costs R320 for a roughly two month supply and the odd atomiser you need to replace about every 3 months at R40, its well worth it to have your sense of taste and smell back and that's besides the health benefits.

Arb random comment - recently saw a pic of one that had exploded from over charging.

Seems to be an isolated case...but maybe don't leave them connected to a charger for hours on end.

That being said - I fully support the ecig angle. I don't smoke but its seems vastly superior to all the other alternatives (patches, gum etc). Specifically the part where you need to have something in your hands...habit.

@Nish: Any luck in scaling down the habit on a whole? Selling the smokes >>> ecig angle seems easy enough but its still ultimately a substance addiction. Not judging at all - I've got no problem with smokers (except those that don't ask if its OK if they smoke - common courtesy ffs).

Maybe I'll start reducing the nicotine content of my liquid in the future and take it from there. From being a pack every second day smoker for the past 10 years I wouldn't want to relapse back to old habits.

Have to admit though quality on the charger and batteries aren't 100% so not surprised that one exploded. I had a faulty charger and battery on my starter pack which Twisp replaced without much hassle. My honest opinion is that its a good alternative if you can afford the initial cost R1320. The benefits really do outweigh the costs.

I bought a Twisp Clearo 2 weeks ago - haven't had a smoke for 2 weeks - this after 20 years of smoking.
I still crave a ciggie but its only been 2 weeks and the cravings have seriously reduced.

Optimistically looking forward to a time when i can breathe easier - looking back - smoking was the single worst mistake I've made in my life.

I know that Twisp deliver for free on orders over a certain amount - so if you buy the starter pack they will deliver for free.
