All one hears is Nokia.......Samsung...........HTC............LG..........Sony Ericsson........but no Motorola. Is there something that Mototrola is hiding from the competition?

Motorola's mobile phone division has been down in the dumps for a while now. Nothing they've released has lived up to the (sales) standards set by the RAZR.

Their phones are not good. Its not easy competing in the handset market anymore, same thing happened to Siemens. Their UI was just crap and to compete with SE and Nokia they need something more.

Their network hardware is also going down the drains, they invested to much in analogue networks as per their government agreements and now they find themselves at the bottom of the market, they big in the US, but they need to change everything from the beginning. More and more networks are dumping old Moto machines and choosing from Alcatel, NokiaSiemens, Ericsson and Hauwei.

I think SE killed the Moto market.

I don't think they're as big in the US as they used to be, I'd hazard a guess and say company's like LG & Samsung have overtaken Moto in the market for RAZR-like flipphones. One should also consider the impact of successive iPhone's (and it's Korean clones) which have taken the shine off whatever Moto could offer to the major US networks.

My GF used to be a big Moto fan - had a V50, V150, V500, RZR and V3x, but after that lost interest... or it was the iPhone's fault! I'm still using a Q9h, not really coz I want to, but because my beloved Treo died... And I can't get it sold!
