I apologize in advance for those that are going to tell me to use the search function/I'm a noob/idiot and that there are 3000 other posts discussing this topic.

But I feel that ISP's nowadays aren't consistent and user experience change frequently.

Currently I'm on a 1mb uncapped all inclusive bundle @ MWEB. I average around 20-35GB p/month and so far the experience has been good. I do a bit of online gaming (CS/BF) mostly in the evening, torrents only from 12h00-06h00, don't youtube that much, and lastly do general browsing/research and emails.

I want to upgrade to a 4mb uncapped account that is affordable and allow me to do about 50-100GB p/month without throttling me. I'm fine with shaping but not throttling.

Lately I've read many posts about unhappy MWEB customers being throttled and some other ISP's who also throttle.

So asking those with 4mb accounts' most recent experience with whichever ISP - Who will allow me to do 50 - 100GB p/month (using the line as stated above) without throttling and is affordable?

Thanks :)

MWEB considers 150GB per month on 4Mbit uncapped "premium" to be abusive. I think if you stay under 100GB/mo you may be OK for now. But who knows.

Try Telkom dude, with your usage at 50-100GB you don't need a Gold OW account (Sorry Dr Zoidberg but Gold would be overkill for). Telkom will never throttle you, 4MB throttling only kicks in after +-450GB.

Add to that the fact that Ti accounts are virtually unshaped ,even during business hours. Check the Telkom thread if you don't believe me.

If you take the 25% discount, then 4MB ADSL line + 4MB Uncapped + voice line works out to about R730.
