Hi all, haven't had adsl for years but would like to now, need some advice on what to go for. Mainly use it to download torrents so telkom won't work. Whenever I connect to telkom my speeds are around 10kbps. Was looking at afrihost but if anyone have better suggestions please let me know.will also need a new modem

How is @lactic?

Not to stop you from choosing another iSP but on Telkom Internet, you have to schedule your p2p activity from 00:00 - 06:00am in order for it to work at full line speed (depending on your line stats), this also does not get you to that red bar on the tracking page :p. This is a not too recent change and has for the most part eased off heavy traffic if you know how it has been the last year or so during business hours.

Other iSPs that users recommend is in particular order, WebAfrica business account , Afrihost Business account, Vox/@lantic but do note that the bolt-on is no longer available on the fat-pipe premium account & lastly CrystalWeb who are a new entry in the game. Each have their own dedicated feedback thread and it only requires a few pages of responses of recent to know how things are. I mentioned business accounts because you might get away with daytime p2p usage however it isn't guaranteed.

:)
