Which Airport Lounge?

So I usually go to bidvest, but I see my bank gives me access to the others as well:

Bidvest Premier Lounge
Mashonzha Longe
Shongololo Lounge
Aspire Airport
The Lounge SAA International

Unfortunately I can't go check them out 1 by 1 as your visit is time restricted to the lounge you choose on the day.

Any insight?

You can cast an eye around the lounges the lounges have pics online too
 
I missed the lamb loin tjops that Standard Bank lounge used to do.

They took it off the menu. The only reason I would walk all the way to their lounge. Their new menu is crap, not worth the walk in my honest opinion.
 
These are all international lounges, haven't been to them all but Mashonzha Longe and Shongolo are both very average from past memory.

Best option is probably the SAA lounge.
 
I go to the SAA lounge. Best coffee.

Best lounge experience I ever had was flying out of Sri Lanka and literally being the only person in what was ultimately a pretty standard fare room with food and drinks in.

Great food mind you, but presentation was nothing like any of the others.

Worst lounge by far was one of the Dubai ones packed to the brim (think it was the Marhaba Emirates one) until I discovered that one all the way on the one side where you walk up the stairs and it's all open plan open air and from then on always went back there.

Think that was the Ahlan Lounge looking at Tripadvisor but not 100% sure. Gate B26 does sound right for flights back to SA.

But also, any lounge is better than sitting with the peasants in the waiting area.

You learn this when waiting in Tanzania for your connecting flight to Zanzibar. It's mediocre compared to any of our lounges, but far more comfortable than the alternative of not having one at all...
 
all those options and not the Slow International? That is a real pity. At ORT I would say in this order:

Slow International
Bidvest
SAA

The rest not really worth it.

I've been to SLOW before, rate bidvest above it. It felt like a mall on black Friday, queues for everything
 
I see Standard Bank has changed the criteria for Airport Lounge access, no wy I am going to spend R15-20k on my credit card for lounge access. Any idea which bank offers best lounge access ?

These days everyone is jumping onto lounge access. Even Vodacom is offering Bidvest Lounge access to contract subscribers on RED Core and up. I haven’t tried using it, but I’m curious whether that works.

I mailed my private banker about this. (not a flex, I promise :P )
I asked whether there were still 12 visits included and whether the minimum monthly spend is only applicable for unlimited visits.
Will post back here once I get a response.

Lol same also mailed the complaints department, this was the reply after I said 80% of costs are debit orders.
