Hi

Quick question concerning Custom Roms etc, probably affects all phones...

Does your BASEBAND version matter? Particularly which version of the software it's related to?

Wondering since I've been flashing between nightlies of CM9 and HydrogenICS on my SGS2 but my BASEBAND is still XXKL1 which was a Gingerbread 2.3.6 BASEBAND?

Should I be running LPQ or something?

I know the BASEBAND is essentially the radio, but not sure how running different versions of it relates to the rom layer. Some roms flash the baseband too, some don't. So I'm a bit confused.

Anyone?

As long as you use the right RIL for your radio you should be fine. Radio updates is something that can break a phone so better leave that to the OEM's.

Anyway its better they don't stuff with radio files on the ROM's anymore. I remember the days I had to hunt for my Desire's radio files everytime I flashed it.
