Sup' guys,

I plan to buy a 690II very soon and I'm hoping to put a couple of fans in it.

The fans are mostly for aesthetic purposes so the performance doesn't have to be amazing it just needs to work.

I'd like to know which which of these two is better:

Clear fan

Sickleflow

I think the Sickleflows look sexier but I've read that they're pretty loud.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Sickleflows work well, but they are loud. I currently use two of them in my case.

I have used the clear fans in the past, but I can't make a reliable comparison on terms of noise coz that was quite a while back.

Another thing- the sickleflow fans do not look nearly as cool as what they do in the pics. They are actually pretty dull and plain!

Have a look at some other fans perhaps? Landmark pc has a nice selection.

CM Turbinemaster ftw. Have them in my 690II. Silent and efficient.

but they dont have leds and even if I weren't to have leds I'd prefer if the fan blades were at least a different colour:/

Didn't know landmark stocked Scythe's which are pretty awesome but R200 per fan is out of my budget and I need the fans to have blue leds.

How about these Zalman fans?

Zalman is a good brand so quality shouldn't be an issue. Try googling for some reviews of the fan, I'm sure you'll be able to find user reviews, and they generally comment on the performance and noise factors.

I generally just stick to coolermaster fans. They are usually a good balance between price and performance. I agree spending R200 on a fan is a bit much.

Try find some user reviews on the sickleflow, clear fan, and the zalman. And then make a decision.

I can't really find any reviews for the clear fan and I'm busy looking up review on the Zalman right now.

I think I'm over the Sickleflow though, reviewers love it but all the comments under the reviews diss the noise and usually I'm up till 3am so having a noisy PC is not an option.
