Which Cellphone?????

I was also stuck between the N80 and the N73.

The WiFi of the N80 seems nice, but I do have a PDA hx4700 where I use the WiFi. Normally you use the WiFi not that much on the phone, remember it's a phone. At internet cafe's I use my PDA.

The N73 has a great great great screen, whereas the N80 has an ok screen with more t6han enough pixels, but the fonts are too small. You need some serious spectacles.

The N80 looks like a cigerate box, fine if you smoke then you should be familiar with the shape. For me I like the thin looks of the N73.

The N73's camera is far superior to the N80's, the difference is the Zeiss lens. Absolutely fantastic!! This weekend I was on a trip to the western cape and I didn't took along a digital camera, I just use the 3.2MP camera of my N73. Great resolution and stunning features.

But this is only my and only my opinion, please look at your own needs and why you need the phone.

The battery of the N73 also last longer than the N80's one.

Sorry, but I forget to mention that I'm a Nokia fan:D :D . Already had about 10Nokias and nothing else.

One thing that people seem unaware of is the fact that on the N7x series of phones, you cannot force the phone to use UMTS (3G), you have to let the phone dictate when you can use 3G since it only runs in Dual Mode. This means that each time it switches between 3G and GPRS, the connection drops.

NOT TRUE, NOT TRUE!!1:mad:

My N73 can be set either as GSM or as UMTS or as DUAL. I have verified this and you can force 3G connection on the N73.:D

I don't know about the N70 though, but on the N73 it's possible.

Hmm well a few people on the forum have reported their's as not being able to do that. Glad that yours can ;)

Thanks for posting. This information is invaluable.
You are 100% sure?

Can anybody else confirm this? Where is Mydummyname? He also got a N73

Correct!! Same with the E61.

I ordered my iMate SP JAS yesterday (basically the HTC MTeoR with a front-facing camera.)

I was stuck between the N73 with bluetooth 2, a great camera and potentially better battery life, vs. the SP JAS with HSDPA and ActiveSync (I use Exchange at work.)

In the end, the fact that I didn't have to go out and buy RoadSync and could get HSDPA on the phone won out. (That, and I also prefer to have "something different!")

I've almost always used Nokias, but haven't used Symbian series 60 phones, so haven't been "infected" with the desire to only use that interface.
