I have every class at 80 except for a DK, Hunter and Priest.

Which one do I level first? Any suggestions?

I was playing a little Gnome priest before I left wow a while ago. I want to get a cash cow to 85 first though before I play around with the lower ones again.
Which professions are raking in big cash now? That would help. Still Herbalism and Alchemy? Or Mining?

Plenty of gold to be made from gathering professions these days. Easily making up to 2k gold per hour just farming herbs.
Trying to see if I can make some gold with Alchemy at the moment, but will have to see in a week or two. Made a killing selling gems a few weeks back, but that market is settling down fast as well. One thing that stays constant is the need for herbs.

mining/ore just have too many bots running around...

Agreed,

Alchemy is still make a killing off truegold (currently 800g each with the new Firelands recipes requiring 8 for the weapons) along with Jewelcrafting seems to be raking in the most money

With the hunters change from mana to focus you'll have no downtime that a bandage can't solve, anything that pet doesn't keep aggro on you can kite around until it dies, not to mention doing ridiculous dps in instances with heirloom gear

I have also made around 160 / 170k gold from farming trash solo in firelands... however that video is pretty crap.

I run with the entrapment talent... dual trap stunning the tortoises + scorpion packs... icetrap + snaketrap + entrapment = WIN
No need for pet... no need for tank... just kite and nuke. Big tortoises you need to run with mag range. We have enough "oh crap" buttons to survive, if we do mess up on a kiting exercise.

I have noticed that they nerfed the droprate of epics significantly however. In the past I could get around 2 / 3 epics for just a few hours of farming... nowdays you can spend a whole evening and get nothing.

thanks to you, and people like you, that nerf has screwed everyone that raids over. havent seen the agility polearm drop once in 4 weeks, and my guild is buying patterns instead of picking them up from the trash. in fact, in all the raids I have been in, seen only 2 boe's drop total, in those 4 weeks. suppose blizzard shoulda known people would fsck with the system, so partly their fault. nonetheless....

qq more you say. why thank you, I shall

But but but... if you played a real class... you could also farm for epic's solo ! :-p

Now... if only I can get that polearm from Domo to upset the druids even more !

Ive stood around in firelands while my MT was kiting trash. ya know what, no thanks, how incredibly boring. watched him for I dont even know how long cos I needed a lil rep. braindeadness all the way.

speaking of the fire kitteh staff, Im highest on dkp amongst relevant classes, and will pass everything til we down domo on thursday.

ps: pornolio, you dont seem like much of a team player.

LOL... jirre you wouldnt have survived a day in vanilla WoW if I look at how you whine about how hard it is to get loot. Truly I feel sorry for you dude.

Back then epics did have a sense of accomplishment

from all I read about vanilla, I would actually have to had absolutely no life whatsoever to play it the way it was meant to be played. so you can keep your happy memories of grinding for months for resistance gear, and gearing up 4 warrior tanks for naxx60, and then regearing another tank cos one quit cos he was bored to tears, and farming silithids for someone else for months on end for the opening of AQ, the corpse runs, the 2 pieces of loot per 40man boss, etc. thats not gaming, thats a job you paid to do

and I shall get my fire kitteh staff :D

Wow... really? You really think the fact that you didn't get your drop is due to 0.00001% of the player base managing to solo Fireland trash and not because of RNG?
Seriously, if Blizzard did nerf the drop rate it would be because they had to due to epic BoE drops being far too common; and if they did nerf it around that 0.00001% skilled players I'm pretty sure they'd put some checks on how many player were on the aggro table of the mob killed so that it only affect solo players and not raid groups.

PS: I've watched Rambozo solo that trash, it's no easy feat and takes a considerable amounts of time for the very slim chance of a BoE epic drop. So it's far from fscking with the system and abusing it and more like a tonne of hard work.

eh? skill in kiting? thats funny :) from what I heard, it was down to what class you played, and that you had something good to watch on tv. no skill involved

I have seen a level 70 hunter kite the Fel Reaver from way down in Outlands to the Horde base. That took him a very long time and I can tell you it took skill. One shot from that Reaver and he would have been toast.

No no no Boet skill was back in the day kiting a Devilsaur to Orgrimmar @ 60.

Hunter training in my guild was taking drakes from Burning Steppes (the ones by Blackrock mountain) to SW, I took one through Goldshire once and killed all the idiots who attacked it (had a fire dmg aoe if you hit it)

Oh nostalgia

Sorry for the derail Pitbull :o

what was that world boss (was it?) that people used to kite from the zone where nethergarde keep is to SW? that looked like it coulda been fun :)
