I trust I'm posting in the write section and apologies if this has been asked before.
I'm sick and tired of 3g cards and rates from all service providers while Naspers will no likely hit us for a another six in the next few months with another increase in Multichoice subscriptions.
We have a telkom line at home which can easily be converted to ADSL with some patience.
That said, i would prefer to cancel Multichoice and simply download movies that I WANT TO SEE and not what Multichoice demands I watch, over and over again.
I've looked at VOX but that seems rather pricey assuming one will downlaod a movie and watch it a few nights later. Assuming you line them up and download typically, a movie or two a night, you need a big package.
Any suggestions on which way to go would be highly appreciated. Apologies, once again for the duplication in question- there are just so many threads to find/read before I can get "dummies' for broadband" understood.

I just went with the same thing.

I am going with an Afrihost capped account, because I like afrihost. if they disappoint in download speed while torrenting I will switch without feeling bad. but I start with them.

also I have been streaming what I want to watch directly rather than download series. and I only have a 2mb line, and its fine so far...

Ok, thanks for that- I see there's much mumbling about their service/speeds on the forum. What do they charge for capped?
