Which games will work fine with iBurst

Well the thing is Iburst gaming experience depends completely on signal strength. That will determine latency. Also gaming during the day will be terrible. Im guessing you guys are mostly talking about after hours.

It can be worse than dial up I geuss.. but would be surprising given a reasonably good Iburst connection. Dial up at least has more consistent pings, whereas Iburst is a bursting technology so it lags and has long spikes in gaming.

Also, being capped or not doesn't matter much for most games, its about latency not throughput. If its an intensive FPS then 64kb will not be enough, but makes no difference to Warcraft Guild wars (I think) etc.. most RPG's basically which are all playable with Iburst, especially locally.

Oh and believe it or not it helps to play with two people through the same connection, keeps it going more and the pings are better. I can host on battle.net and have two people playing the same game, but hosting with just me on the connection is too laggy.
 
Playing games while capped on iBust?!?!?

I can't even dl my email or get onto their website!

If I hit cap early in the month, I change to dial, it's faster! lol...
 
Hmm.. you must have a really bad connection or you think death by cap is actually access...

Capped Iburst is usually fine for everything. I play war3 exactly the same as uncapped and downloads go at 8-10kb. Browsing is fine too, you must have death-by-cap.
 
Dunno, but it sucks big time when I hit cap! Especially when it is in the first week of the month!

I have to sell my sole to buy more bandwidth! lol...
 
EHV, I must say that if you enjoy RPG's then your money will be well spent buying Guild Wars. Let me know if you get it so that we can hook up. What's the name of the RSA Guild?
