Hi.

I don't wanna spend too much on a set up.

Which of the following options is better (My MB supports crossfire):
-2 x Asus 2600 Pro 256MB
-1 x 8800GT G92 256MB
-1 x 3650 512MB or 256MB

I don't play games too often, but I do now and then. I don't have Vista and I will be playing Flight Sim ... I currently have Crysis.

My current card is 6600GT and its good ... but I wanna be HDCP ready.

The 8800GT 256MB is a surprisingly strong card. Although its stock speeds are a little weak (600/1500/1400), I've managed to overclock mine quite decently to 700/1750/2000, and it's performing awesomely. UT3 cruises at full detail, 1280x1024, and forced 4x AA at its frame-rate cap of 62 FPS, while Crysis sits around mid-20s at full detail, also at 1280x1024. My machine is an [email protected], with 2GB of Kingston Hyper-X. I get a 3D Mark 06 score of 12000 at the moment - to give you some perspective.

So basically, get that card.

I currently have an E4500 in my PC ... not one of the most sensational processors ... but I'm very inexperienced at overclocking, so not sure where to start to get more power. I found a 8800GTS 640MB online for under 2k ... so I'm prob gonna go for that.

If youre running at 1280X1024 or less, then the 8800GT 256MB will be perfect. If you have a 22" you might want to consider rather going for the OC'ed 512MB HD3850 cards.

I will be running a 22" in the future. What do you think of a 8800GTS 640MB at R1900? Worth it? Also ... what power supply will I need ... currently have a 450W ... but the rest of the PC doesn't eat much.

So guys I need your opinion ... ATI Radeon 3850 512MB Brand New or Geforce 8800GTS 640MB 4 months old ... same price ... what would you take ...

After thinking about it ... I don't think I play games nearly enough to warrant getting a R2000 card ... I think I'll be better off with a 7800GTX or X1900 / X1950 at around R1000 ... what would you guys do?

So much for not spending R2k ... or close to it:P

I bought a 4 month old XFX 8800GTS 640 MB at R1750 + shipping.
But to run it I bought a Coolermaster Extreme Power 650W new at R650.
Eish ... thee munny ... she is dis-a-pee-ring
