Which graphic card would you recommend?

I have the option to choose between a Gigabyte GV-R455D3-512I Radeon HD4550 64-bit GDDR3 or a MSI N9500GT- 1GB 128-bit GDDR2. Which one do you think is better?
 
Wow I thought everyone would jump to tell you what to do but it seems your choices are just that depressing... if you can only get either one of the two I suppose the MSI (inni mini miney mo)

but I'd recommend getting a second hand 9600gt or 8800gts 320

gumtree's a nice place to start if you think they're dodge there are plenty of online classifieds.
 
That is a tough one. I'm not too clued up on gfx cards myself, so I might be talking crap. But, in my opinion, I would recommend the MSI N9500GT 1GB 128-bit. Sure, it only has DDR2, however it has double the amount of the 4550 both in terms of RAM and memory bandwidth. Then again, I could be completely wrong.
 
Well neither are very powerful but I would highly recommend a ATI 4670 which is around R800. It whips both of those cards and is slightly slower than an Nvidia 9800GT.
 
Thanks guys, I'm also clueless when it come's to graphic cards, so it seems to me that this guy wants to dump his crappy cards on me.
 
Yeah, those cards are in all honesty...useless. They're like the in the lowest of the low cards.
 
Yip, the HD4550 for R500 and the 9500GT for R599. Both are secondhand.

Oh I wouldn't say that - I currently have the Asus EN9400GT :o

I would not recommend buying a card from him. Rather take the cash you have, save up a couple hundred more and take Tero's advice.

HD 4650 512MB DDR2 VGA +DVI-I + TVO R 549 excl. R 625 incl. and that is quite a bit better and brand new !

what are you using it for ? if you want to be able to atleast run some games. you gonna need to spend atleast 1k

If you can save R990 buy the 9800GT as 4cer^ said! Otherwise the 4670 is your next best bet at R800.

Yeah, wants to play some games as well as video editing. I think I'll just have to save a few bucks and get a better card. Thanks for the advice.
 
The bare minimum you should look at is the 4650, but preferably 4670.
