Ipcop has:

Intrution protection
traffic graphs - but no bandwidth monitor (but can get contrib but requires you know how to do more complicated things in linux)
Persistant redial
Shaping and protocol prioritation (if you activate these)
Web User Inferace - which is really easy for any lameman to use
-shows you thought web UI that updates are available if they are and has easy upload and install automatically feature

is smaller than smoothwall (+-40mb)
prehistoric beeping on connect
ablity to run on box with no keyboard or monitor (after initial install)

...just some that are important to me

The only one of those that does not exist in Smoothwall 2 is "Shaping and protocol prioritation (if you activate these)" - and if you have any sense then these can be added to smoothwall 2 - on top of that, the "Shaping" is incredibly limited, and is entirely restricted to simple TCP port priotitisation, and thats hardly a usefull feature unless you only have one PC.

If you're going to make comparisons like this, best first be experienced with both packages.
