Which is the best isp for streaming ? uncapped.

Hi

So finally got a proper streaming service after all these years

im currently on a afrihost capped account but i fear the data will run out pretty fast with constant streaming
so thinking uncapped is the way to go, any idea which isp is the best for this ?

i want to be able to stream flawlessly and maybe still do some p2p downloads when im not.

the afrihost capped account streams perfectly and thats the same kind of quality i would want in the uncapped product.

I was in the same situation with MWEB. Was on a 4MB uncapped account but couldn't stream properly until after midnight.

Recently signed up to Vox Telecom uncapped bolt-on product linked to their capped Gig4Gig. I basically only stream / download in the evenings so from 6pm - 6am Mon-Fri and open all weekend, I can use 4MB uncapped & unshaped.

Costs R59 for the uncapped bolt-on and R299 for the 4MB line, so R358. Then if I need bandwidth during week-days I can buy at R15 per GB. The also give you 1GB free already on their Gig4Gig product.

I am with crystal webb... got a 4MB uncapped with them for R429... streaming is perfect, quality is good, service is great... i have been using them since last year and don't have any issues, when i do, it is sorted same time..

i also do ptp downloads once in a while... and that's works great too...

So i would suggest CW...

p.s. i have tried various isp's for this type of service and i had issues with all of them after a month or 2, so far CW has been the only constant...

You know Afrihost has Business Uncapped that gives the same quality right?

yeah but that's there business account which is a little more pricey, was hoping to get a home uncapped product at a decent price and since its only going to be streaming with occasional downloads a home uncapped product should suit my needs with me breaking any fup/aup

It's impossible to get a home uncapped account with the same performance as a capped account. It literally doesn't exist.

Try keep your p2p downloads for 00:00 to 06:00.

yeah i know that, i just want the same performance for streaming only not p2p and everything else, i will schedule those after midnight.
i dont want to move over and suddenly realize the streaming is buffering constantly etc

this is my first month streaming so not sure how much data that will use monthly which is why im looking for an affordable uncapped product. if that doesnt exist then i'll have no choice but to go for the business uncapped option as you mentioned.

If it's just you alone streaming you'd be fine with 100GBs, or 150GBs, so rather go capped.

If it's 2 people then 200GBs capped is probably best.

If it's more than 2 people then go to Business Uncapped.

Crystal Web if you are going to stream........... but it's not for downloaders... just so you know, and won't be disappointed when it's not good !

I only stream in HD and it's perfect for me !

I have a capped premium business account with them, so that might also help with my HD streaming, but I can't fault CW... not on speed, quality, reliability, billing, customer support.... they are all exemplary !

Just my 5 cents...
