Which Is The Best Torrent Client?

Been using it for years even. No problems whatsoever.
 
I always thought torrent clients were all the same - it just depended on how many seeders there are to get better download speeds.
 
So I'm using uTorrent... I'm using an adsl connection via a WiFi router and I wanna know how to set up uTorrent if my connection is using a proxy... Basically to access the connection i need to enter a username and a password. Any links to as to how I should configure this for uTorrent?

If you need to use a proxy server for uTorrent, Click on "Options" then click on "Preferences". Then click on the "Connection" Link which is on the left side of the window. Then, by the proxy server setting, click on the drop down, select the type of proxy then enter the desired proxy server information.

Bittorrent for me. uTorrent I use in parallel but found bittorrent more effective for me most of the time. My daughter likes uTorrent.

Will give transmission a go but first I wonder WHY should I. Convince me. ;)

Nah Linux. I have no linux system running, maybe should set up a virtual Linux machine??

Off topic... How does this apply to the ten million Linux distros out there? Why don't all these Linux folk just focus on one?
