Need a stable ISP with good ping for gaming (preferably 5ms on SA servers) and that actually deliver the correct speeds. Also would be nice to watch Twitch without buffering. Currently looking at either Vox or Cool Ideas, but still very unsure.

What do you use the speed for? (Example Netflix, Twitch, Gaming, Mass downloading?)

All of the above, lol. Mainly streaming, lots of that in our house, 2x simultaneous 4K Netflix streams, downloads and other browsing, all works well without any hiccups.

Just feedback on this forum, and how quick/good just the customer service was, Cool Ideas without a doubt.
Have also recommended friends to them, they have no issues with the service.

+1 for Cool Ideas

Also have 100/100 uncapped and not a single issue so far.

Have also been suggesting them to clients and not a single complaint from anyone so far either.

Could anyone comment on the installation fees and process?

Installation depends how far away from the connection the cpe is installed. First 30meters is covered by Cool Ideas.
Contractor from FF charged me R850 for an extra 35m.

No Activation fee for anything like that on frogfoot from CI.

You apply on the frogfoot portal as well as the cool ideas website. Then a FF contractor will contact you and do the installation takes 1/2 days depending on how much work.
Once FF is done they will let CI know and they will get you up and running, if you have your own router you can get up and running on the same day.

They charged me pro-rata for the first month. First pay is eft, there after debit order.

What is considered the START of the connection? Is that where the cable enters your property or the fibre access point for the whole street?

Was told it's where the cable enters the property. But suppose it could vary depending who the sub contractor is.

Could you define property. As in into the actual house or when it crosses the municipal boundary?

Would also be interested if you can argue
---------------------box and municipal line

Since the first is shorter without entering property, but the second is cheaper overall. Asking this as that's where the Vumatel box is located at.

Not house. Distance was measured from our wall/property line.

Last thing guys, what router gets supplied to me? (Is there a specific brand, model or just random?) And also what did you receive?
