Hi

I have done lots of reading, and yes i have read the recommended ISP sticky but i still need some advice.

I am currently with cybersmart - 3gig 384kbps. That was enough 3 years ago when broadband was still new to most of us, but lately the speed is too slow and cap is too little, so im looking to change ISP and get a different deal.

My uses for internet are (in order of importance) - Online gaming, Internet browsing, Video Streaming, Music downloads, Email.....

I want to get a 4mbps line, and a minimum cap of 10gig, or even uncapped. I need unshaped, and a solution that runs off SAIX (because SAIX has lower latencies - better for gaming).

Please recommend one or two deals that i should look at. imo ISP's website are designed to confuse the hell out of you, with the information you need hidden in the FAQ section, or incomplete info etc. forcing you to contact them!

Thanks in advance

Webafrica your best bet for gaming and video streaming etc. out paces my IS accounts by far.

I've used WebAfrica and Afrihost and find Afrihost cheaper, faster and the billing system is spot on. They have packages to suite most needs. Their uncaped ADSL, however, very quickly gets throttled but I suppose that is the norm. WebAfrica debit, credit then re-debit my account on a regular basis then send threatening letters about me needing enough money in my account else there will be debit order bounce fees. They generally get it right but I keepan eye on them.

Mweb is my choice, no problems so far and they are the ISP of the future, a lot of these guys simply won't have enough money to run in the next couple of years...

okay so i've been in contact with a few ISP's but i have one question. When i inquired with webafrica whether they use SAIX or IS, they said SAT3/safe. How does this compare??
