Which ISP to use for ADSL?

Hi,

Im running into a problem. Not sure who to use as my ISP? Im not a frequent internet user....use prob 1 GB a month. Now I was with WA...but their price for 1GB prepaid at R69-00 is ridiculous....so I move to Afrihost as it was cheaper at R39-00....as the general response was they have good support. Well, their support sucks, as I dont have internet connection now and they dont reply to emails / their lines are clogged with callers.

So I dont know what to do anymore? I need reliable ADSL connection for my work....but dont want to be ripped off either with prices, and want good service. So:

1. Webafrica = Expensive, but no problems with service
2. Afrihost = Cheap...but service/support sucks

So where do I go from here? Dont know who else to look at? Can anyone recommend some decent ISP's?
 
I am surprised that you are complaining about Afrihost's support. I, and many other MyBB forumites, have had nothing but good things to say about them. They have been charging R29/GB for about 6 months now - not R39. Try sending Help by SMS to 32541 to have their 24 hour help desk call you back.
 
Yeah, I did last night as last resort as their lines were clogged....they weren't even taking calls, was just a message saying send a support mail or sms them. After the sms was sent...they called a while later....but the ADSL had come back on. Then, this morning...it was down again. Apparently its back on, told by my wife at home. Support emails yielded no replies at all.

With regards to the pricing, the prepaid is R39 per gig....its only R29 per gig if you take one of the packages.
 
If you only need 1G & use it for work then suck it up pay WA prices. Go for the R59 month to month though not the prepaid.
 
I'm very happy with my Gconnect prepaid at R28 a Gig, unshaped. They also have 24/7 support.
