We finally got adsl for our business (took a year)! Now we have to get a new isp. We are currently with iburst but they have a lot of restrictions (like we cannot use another POP3 server for mail. And we cannot send bulk mail (our newsletters and promotions to opt-in members) Can anyone suggest an isp with a good support team that doesn't have registrictions on bulk mail?

Okay Datapro doesnt have restrictions. (i send out lots of newsletters) HOWEVER their support team is useless. their network seems pretty good and stable but be aware that the times that things go wrong you have just as good chance of fixing it as they do even if you are Mrs Daisy or Robert Mugabe.

What about www.openweb.co.za?

DataPro Service

Albert, your comments on the DataPro service desk are not very fair, you have taken a period of time and not moved on. You know better than most that the one of the key differentiators we have is that any of our customers can escalate problems to anyone in the company from me downwards. Most do if their are hic cups down the line.

Sure we make mistakes, admittedly with all the acquisitions and growth our service wobbled but we are improving daily. We have doubled our investment in people and training and striving to become world class admittedly still a long way to go but at least it is coming right fast.

I go through life finding out what is right with things, any fool can see what is wrong with something. Do you really think that the Business ADSL offerings would be as diverse today if we had not pioneered the Uncapped solutions a year ahead of any of the other major ISP's. The ecomonies of scale and J curve losses are huge in our industry and the economic lessons are hard. Verizon freezing their uncapped solution barely 6 months after their launch is a good example. Right now our original Uncapped Solution is the best on the market by far in terms of the quality of the bandwith and the usage based solutions the most cost effective product if you require quality.

You can use Iburst to sent email using your other pop3 account. setup your other pop3 e-mail adres and for smtp use smtp.iburst.co.za and not the smtp setting that your ISP provided.
