Got myself a grinder, but it's for the old style connection. My wife tells me her sister says she has one she got with a Chef Titanium a few years back and she's never used it - if it's compatible I may have got myself a grinder![]()
I've heard there are adaptors, maybe something to look into.Got myself a grinder, but it's for the old style connection.![]()

cutting that plug off may void the guaranteeMy larger Kenwood food processor came with a SA plug pre-fitted so why did the smaller one come with this abomination?

Came from Amazon, so I guess it's possible. All of the in-store models Ive seen have had the same plug.Grey market import.
Not sure about that - I've contacted Kenwood to see what they say.cutting that plug off may void the guarantee
This is my least favourite option.
Grey market importing has become the norm in SA for many brands.Came from Amazon, so I guess it's possible. All of the in-store models Ive seen have had the same plug.
how on earth do you earth a 2 pin plug ?Grey market importing has become the norm in SA for many brands.
Those round two pin plugs are my least favorite plug. The number of adapters I've bought that just stop working because of the spring loaded shutter.... and then most of them are not earthed and I often see earthed round two pins plugs. Bleah.

The adapters are often not earthed. Plenty appliances come with earth on a 2-pin (Type F/Schuko) - mostly destined for Euro markets, or are you saying you've never seen one? The most common I've seen are Laptop chargers. The Schuko earthed plug and socket is actually banned in SA, which is why earthed sockets are hard to find, though still available as travel adapters. Of course that doesn't stop grey importers from sending you goods with an earthed Schuko. A wireman should actually fail an installation that uses Schuko socket with an earth pin. Fortunately adapters and plugs are not part of the infrastructure.Guess what…the 3-prong isn’t earthed either because most of these appliances aren’t earthed, so they aren’t magically gaining an earth with a plug swop.
