I'm not sure what the newer AMD powered notebooks are like, but my Travelmate (AMD Turion 64 @ 1.8Ghz) gets seriously hot under load.
Yeah, this is what i was thinking. Apart from that, the machine looks great!

Very nice specs, yes.
Just tell the lady of yours not to use the notebook on her bed, or indeed any soft material, SO many people do this and find their notebooks poking from excess heat. (it blocks up the ventilation).
Also, another arb tip, if I may. Make sure Windows does infact go into hibernation or suspend mode before putting it in your bag, I've seen a few fellas with this problem, and it's happened to me a few times, you close your screen thinking it's going to hibernate, and find that when you get home your bag is hotter than the devil's nutsack because the thing hasn't hibernated and running.
There's apparently a patch/update for XP that fixes this, but I don't trust XP to do anything.

What did you name yours?
This is probably the only forum you can safely admit this kind of stuff lol.![]()
though we do have one that we both refer to as that bloody useless piece of windows crap - does that count?
