Which MBP case to buy?

I see the incase cases for R899 from apple and some from tangled.co.za which go up to R550

Can anyone share their opinion on this because there was a thread ranting about tangled but i cant find it.

Im looking for aa hardshell case. Thanks.

The 899 price tag from apple seems a bit excessive but i would rather pay more for quality than less for junk.
 
I'm on the same mission for my 15 inch MBP.
From reading reviews and looking at pricing, I pretty much settled on the Moshi iGlaze hard shell https://www.digicape.co.za/bags/iglaze-for-mbkpro-retina-15-inch-translucent?has_options=1

I also quite like the cases by Speck, but can't find one for my 2015 MBP https://www.digicape.co.za/bags/spe...-smartshell-15-inch-white-matte?has_options=1

I'll probably buy in the next week or so, still searching but as I say the mind is pretty much made up on the Moshi.
 
I've got an Incase and judging by the cracks in it it's saved my MBP from a lot of damage. Granted I'm using my laptop in places that most won't so it's been subjected to an unusual amount of abuse.

Look at this store, they are in the UK but often buying from them plus shipping to SA works out cheaper than local stores. I baught my iPhone 7 Speck case from them a few months ago.

No case at all.

Buy a sleeve rather for when you transport it and go naked the rest of the time.

I've never had my Macbook magically scratch while on my desk.

In fact I feel the hard cases have a better chance of scratching when dust or grit gets between them and the Macbook body.
 
Whatever you do, don't buy the speck ones. Bought one and it cracked almost in half without me damaging it at all, and the plastic clips to hold it onto the bottom of the machine also broke off almost immediately after purchasing. Never again...
 
What did you end up buying? I bought a Speck one on Loot but apparently it cracks, so now I don't know.
 
I haven't baught one yet, I'll go check out what Loot has, I always forget about them.
