Any recommendations about these...

Intel 'Skyberg', P45, FSB1333, 4xDual DDR3 1333, 2xPCI-x16 (Crossfire)
or
ASUS Intel P45, 1600FSB, 2xDual DDR3 1333, 4xDual DDR2 1066, 1xPCI-x16
or
MSI Intel P45 Neo3-FR, 4xDDRII 1066
or
GIGABYTE P43 & ICH10, 1600MHz(OC)FSB (don't know the other specs)

they all are in the same price range (R1700 -R1500)

going with the following
Intel E7400 2.80GHz 1066Mhz FSB, 3MB cache R1300
but preferably (if the budget permits)
Intel E8400 3.00Ghz 1333MHz FSB, 6MB Cache R1900

PS. I have a 8800GT

Troll time..

Why not consider the following:

PhenomII X2 550 @ ~ R1000
AMD 790GX DDR3 M/B @ ~ R1300

Then unlock the cpu to a full Quad core.

:D

... troll over.

I would personally go for a genuine Intel mobo. Rock stable.
Gigabyte is normally awesome, but a bit overpriced.
:)

.. Apologies for the troll. Feel free to throw rotten tomatoes at me.
:o

Thanks guys, the MSI is the cheaper of the four...

I've always been an Intel fan, but the darkside is very tempting..

Asus gets my vote. Is it the P5QC? If you aren't using DDR3 RAM then just get the P5Q...

.. using the old retarded evil man from StarWars' voice...

"Come to the dark side.."

.. using Jenna Jameson's voice..

"You know you want to. Ahh yeah, yeah come on, come on. Ooh."

.. using my voice..

"It's not bad. Save some cash, use a machine that is rock stable, and get's s**t done !!"

:D
