which need for speed for ps3

hi guys

a little help please. im looking at getting need for speed but i need advice on which one is the best. i've heard that the new most wanted is excellent. is it true? I have played hot pursuit before and its terrible. so any advice would be welcome. thanks

All of them after Porsche Unleashed have been total dumbed-down crap, apart from the 2 Undergrounds and Shift 2.

Get Shift 2, it's like what Gran Turismo 5 should have been.
 
I am loving the new most wanted. I can't comment on the others as the last NFS game I had on PS3 was prostreet and that was so so.

Negative. It's by far the least arcade-y of all the NFS's so far. Handling & physics aren't entirely on the level of the F1 games or GTR2 on the PC, but they're at least on par with Gran Turismo 5. In fact I'd recommend playing it with a steering wheel only, a Dualshock controller might not be ideal. I know it's impossible with a keyboard.

It doesn't have the retarded GT5 AI that always drives in a fixed path and plays bumper cars with you and graphics are leaps and bounds ahead (although that might not be the case on the PS3 version). Plus it (Shift 2) has decent customising and tuning that unlike the other recent NFS titles, actually can make a big difference.

Edit: And it doesn't claim to have OVER 9000 cars and then 8995 of those are just slightly different Hondas and Nissans, there's some real variety. So yes, it's like Gran Turismo 5 with all the bad stuff fixed. Only big problem with Shift 2 is that the drifting races suck big time, but you can completely avoid those.
