Which new cell phone to get??

I've lookind at the jasjar & k-jam over the weekend. (Held them in my hand)
The Jasjar is a massive phone, but still manages to fit in my pocket. The k-jam is nice and small with the slide keyboard (much like the upcomming jasjam). The ppl that have used these phones, what are your virdict?

I've had the K-JAM since December, and BMW has just issued them to all managers - along with push email. That in itself says a lot.

I love the way you can "upgrade" it. Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com for details...

Why is it taking u so long to get a N80,do you want to switch networks first ?With whom are you with now?
I am with Vodacom and not going to pay an arm and a leg to get the N80.
Hence wanting to get it on MTN, which is where MNP comes in coz I don't want to lose my number.

Lildeath, what contract are you on?

As of 1 September, all MTN prices for the N80 are either equal to or HIGHER than vodacoms prices.

I'm on Talk200.

Is the N80 not free on Weekender or Procall100 / Mycall100 anymore?

Nope, call MTN and check - but last saturday they told me it's now over R2000 in Mycall100, and over R1000 in Procall100 and Procall 240.

Vodacom is advertising R1099 on business talk, effective today IIRC.

frackers!!

Just bought the N80 from vodaworld in Jo'burg, I'm in CT. It was a special where the phone was free and the contract was weekender. It was delivered to my doorstep on Friday after closing the deal on Wednesday.

The sum total was R105 for the 32k SIM with micro browser and thereafter R135 p/m excluding calls. The phone worked as advertised (with all feature enabled, to my knowledge) and no software problems - which other people overseas have been subjected to.

WiFi works out of the box as with other software apps. Additional apps can be downloaded from symbian9.com.

I would highly recommend the N80 to anybody...

Sony Ericsson Z400...WTF

i must say i dont really like SE as a brand, i love Sony but SE ? my wife had a SE Z400 for 2 years, really didnt get me excited or made me think "ei SE better option than Nok or Moto"

I'm an SE fiend and I can't recall SE ever releasing such a model(Z400). I'll be the first to admit that their lower-end phones are generally crappy but please get your facts right on specific phone models. If I said that I hated a Nokia 3590 you'd probably get mad as well:D

BTW, I'm using a Vodafone Live-branded N70...good phone but I would hesitate to call it brilliant. Initially the branding got on my nerves, later I just ignored and I promised that I'd never buy anything off the Vodafone Live portal.

what bout the SE k800i ... i prefer this over the N80 ...
What's your reasons for preferring the K800i?

How did you manage this? Someone in JHB buy it for you and courier it down? Or do it online / telephonic?
