@icyrus, what network u get it with?

Any problems with it so far?

I got it from the MTNSP in Sandton City.

Haven't had any problems with it so far and must say I am quite impressed with it.

SE W900i, great piece of kit, stunning camera, great for mp3's, long battery life, bluetooth, 3g etc.

I have one, I watch my tv at work on it, play my mp3's while I'm driving and you don't have to flip it over all the time, the menu is available on the front sde and you can receive, make calls without having to flip it round.

Only downside is that it hasn't got wifi. You can send and receive your emails as well. perfect.

Se w810i - very nice phone , i like mine :) plays videos very nicely
convert dvds etc

I heard from a guy in Vodashop yesterday that the W900i has been discontinued... They don't know why but apparently they have all been on backorder...

only seen it in pamphlets.

dont get your hopes up, will probably only be closer to the end of the year or even next year.

I think I am going to go ahead with getting the N80.
It is very expensive on Vodacom (R2000), so will wait for MNP and get it on MTN. :(

Helppp!!!

I currently have a iMate Pocket PC, but I am due for an upgrade in September. I am looking for a phone with 3G video, BT and email functionality. The phone needs to sync contacts, calendar and email with my company MS Exchange 2003 server. I was thinking of the P990i but it seems that SE are taking their time in releasing it.

Ye, I don't think the P990i will be released shortly.. :(
AFAIK, Vodacom only received the unit for testing a week or so ago.

If I am not mistaken the N80 fulfills all of your needs? Checked it out?

Still going with the Sony Ericssons.
I wish Sony Ericsson wouldn't make me choose between 3G and EDGE. I want a phone with both. That makes Nokia the top choice apparently.

Perhaps because it is being replaced by a new model?

From a battery perspective, stay away from the 3G phones, rather go for something with EDGE. Most 3G phones only get about 2 days worth of juice.
Surely this only applies if you have 3G switched on which you'd only really need to do when you're actually using it?

Does anyone have any idea why Vodacom want to charge R 2000 for the N80 on a Talk 240! It seems excessive!
I have asked this in several threads and am awaiting feedback from Vodacom in this regard.

I was told not to expect a quick and easy answer!!

I am waiting till the 18th Sep and then I will move to MTN and get the phone there for FREE on the ProCall100 :p
